ROSEBURG—Roseburg-based ATRIO Health Plans, one of Oregon’s fastest growing corporations in the health care industry, is pleased to announce that Steve Patterson has been hired as director of sales and marketing effective May 18.

“As ATRIO continues to expand, it’s important we have a strong leader at the helm of our sales and marketing team to help us achieve our strategic and enrollment goals,” said Vic Fresolone, president and chief executive officer of ATRIO Health Plans. “We’re excited to have Steve Patterson on board to implement our plans and oversee the successful partnerships that will benefit our members.”

Patterson, 39, has bachelor’s degrees in marketing and psychology from Pacific University. His focus areas include project management, competitive strategy initiatives, new product launches, market analysis and team development. Most recently, Patterson was the district manager for Abbott Laboratories where he successfully launched several new products and managed a 12-person sales team.

Prior to his role at Abbott Laboratories, Patterson worked at Sepracor Inc. as the area business manager where he was responsible for driving sales operations and business development.  In his 14-year career, Patterson also has nine years of experience working for other pharmaceutical companies during which he negotiated contract pricing and managed sales accounts in Oregon, Washington and Alaska.

Patterson will work out of ATRIO’s corporate headquarters in Roseburg. He’s familiar with the community as he’s been living and working in Roseburg since 2004. Outside the office, Patterson enjoys volunteering for United Way, the YMCA and the Cal Ripken baseball program. He’s also on the Roseburg Soccer Association’s Board of Directors.
