Friends,
The Earth Day and Energy Fair is coming up on Saturday, April 24th. This is the 10th anniversary event here in Douglas County and the 40th anniversary of Earth Day worldwide. We anticipate having over 4000 guests again this year! Mark your calendar and bring the family. There is something for everyone!
For those of you who are interested in joining us at the Earth Day and Energy Fair as an exhibitor, vendor, or performer, please use the attached form and send it in ASAP.
Please note:
• Our friend Marie Rasmussen is coordinating a reuse-centered craft for kids using wine corks, so please bring your corks by the Umpqua Valley Arts Center on Harvard Ave. in Roseburg no later than March 1st. I would think they should be rinsed and bagged in paper.
• There will be an Earth-centered poetry fair again for writers of ALL ages. Submit entries to you local public library by April 1st.
• There will be FREE paper shredding on site courtesy of Cascade Community Credit Union.
• Cub Scouts from all over Douglas County are converging for a Scout Passport program where they visit exhibitors throughout the day and participate in the Pinewood Derby (Zero emissions if anyone is counting.
If you have any questions about the Earth Day and Energy Fair or recycling in general, feel free to call or email me anytime.
Thanks and have a great day!
